Ong Teong Wan’s professional career progressed from
educational institution, production floor, corporate office,
professional institution to boardroom.
He has trained managers of all levels to implement management systems
and to apply the organisational management skills and concepts learnt to
the workplace. He is an acknowledged leading training consultant and is
one of the early pioneers in corporate training in Singapore. His
training programs are more application-oriented than concept-intensive.
His training participants come from multi-national companies, SME’s,
local and international non-profit organisations, government bodies and

Productivity Board in Singapore, past President of the Singapore
Training and Development Association, and is designated a Fellow of the
Singapore Human Resource Institute for eminence in his field. He was
accorded a Friend of Labour Award by the National Trades Union Congress
for his contributions to the labour movement in Singapore.
He was Area Training Manager of National Semi-Conductor (SEA) and Group
Director (Human Resources) of the Union Carbide Group of Companies in

He studied Economics and Geography at the University of Singapore. He
obtained a post-graduate Diploma in Education in Singapore and a
post-graduate specialist qualification in the Training of Teachers from
the University of Oxford, UK. He is also a graduate of the IBEAR MBA
programme of the University of Southern California, USA.
