Wong Lim Loong

Wong Lim Loong is currently a full-time principal trainer and consultant of his own company, Easybiz Integrated Systems. His objective is to be recognized and respected in the global training community as a preferred person to work with on adult education.

Prior to 1st December 2009, he was working as Director of Materials (Worldwide CZn) in Energizer Battery Company, Inc. He was accountable for the strategic global sourcing of key raw materials and purchased batteries. His primary role was to identify, negotiate, develop and maintain key suppliers that will provide uninterrupted supply and sustainable long-term competitive advantage in total cost. For this, he has visited and negotiated business deals with suppliers in 26 countries across 6 continents and 16 provinces in China. Each time, his objective is to seek and secure win-win deals and be recognized and respected as a knowledgeable, creative, honourable and fair partner in business.

Lim Loong has also gained integrated experience and skills through managing of various functional departments and divisions in manufacturing : Industrial engineering, project management, master production scheduling, raw material scheduling and purchasing, warehousing, sales forecasting, international sales order administration, logistics, and total quality management. He has led successfully several major global projects as Project Manager/Sponsor : (a) Implement a company-wide MRP-II software system, (b) Reduce qualification time for new suppliers from 9 months to 6 months, (c) Outsource core company products from PRC, (d) Integrate packaging material supply base after acquisition of another company, and (e) Reduce company-wide inventory turns by integrating systems and activities from sales, logistics, manufacturing and suppliers.

In the area of training, Lim Loong started as a trained instructor of Kepner-Tregoe ATS course in 1975. In 1985, he gave lectures on Production Management for Diploma in Management Studies run by Singapore Institute of Management. In 1989, he conducted public courses on MRP-II implementation. Since 1990, he has conducted many in-house company training on MRP-II, inventory management, project management, negotiations, and global sourcing. Lim Loong graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Industrial Engineering), Honours from University of Singapore in 1975. Then after 20 years, he pursued and obtained his Master in Business Administration from the University of Hull in 1995.
