Matrix Organisation Structure

Most organizations that have grown organically or by acquisition would have in place a matrix organization where there are direct reporting working relationships and dotted line reporting relationships.

In such organizations where roles are not clearly understood and defined, role conflicts can surface to the detriment of the business and teambuilding retreats are often dissipated back at the work place.
